Well, I know that you are all on the edge of your seats to hear about the progress in our living room so here is the info: the floors are in!! Scott and my brother Bob worked all day Monday to get the floors started. Scott worked late into the night and all day Tuesday. Scott finished up the living room yesterday and he will finish the detail work in the office tonight. I can’t wait for you all to see the progress! We will get the pictures up as soon as the base boards are in.
As most of you already know, Scott and I are doing some serious work on our living room. In the last week we have pulled up all the old carpet, removed some tile, replaced some water logged floor boards, removed baseboards, painted trim, replaced light fixtures and outlets and painted the walls. Today was kind of a big day in the living room process, we picked up our new wood floors. They are BEAUTIFUL but more importantly they are the heaviest thing that I have had to carry…pretty much ever. We ordered 20 boxes and they weighed in at a whopping 1500 pounds….do the math and that gives you nearly 75 pounds per box!!!!! Scott and I carried them all into the house in about 45 minutes but not without a little whining and a lot of resting. We are so glad that its finally here though and it is scheduled to be installed on Monday…..keep your fingers crossed

One of the sweetest and cutest little girls that we know turns 1 today! We celebrated Maggie’s First Birthday with a party yesterday in Crafton. Maggie had a great time and so did everyone else. She had her very own ducky cake which she was happy to dig into with a little prodding from her cousin Daniel. We hope that Maggie has a very happy First Birthday!
Along with all the “fun” stuff we have been doing to the house, we went out and got our Christmas tree from a Christmas tree farm in Indiana, PA. We had lunch with Aunt Anita and then went to the farm. They gave Scott a saw and we went off in hunt of the perfect tree. It didn’t take us long to find a great tree and Scott had it cut down in just a few minutes. We finally got it decorated last night so with the exception of the torn up living room, we are just about ready for Christmas
