Since Valentine’s Day fell on a weekday it was difficult to do anything fun or exciting. So, this weekend we went to Phipps Conservatory to check out the glass exhibit by Dale Chihuly. One of the doctors that Jackie visits recommended that we check out this show before it leaves town (February 24th). Neither one of us knew what to expect but we were amazed by what we saw. The sculptures that he created were amazing. There were also very colorful flowers around the exhibit. Click on the link at the top of the page to check out the gallery!

I am pleased to announce that I have gained employment at Hempfield as a long-term sub! I know that it is not a permanent position but it is permanent from March 1st through the end of the year. The lady that I am in for will be out on maternity leave. Let’s hope she decides to stay at home and raise her baby. That way I can move right in! In any case, I will be able to get back to teaching and having a classroom.

PS - If you don’t understand the blog title Hempfield’s mascot is the Spartan…clever, I know.

Thanks to the New York Giants for defeating the Patriots! It is nice to see that there is justice in the world. This is short because I am still running around the house screaming and yelling!! WOOHOO!!!!!
