9 Months!

It is so hard to believe that our little man is 9 months old. He is growing up right before our eyes. At his last appointment he was 23 pounds and 30 3/4 inches long. He is in the 85th percentile for weight and way off the charts for length. The month of September has been a busy milestone month for Jack. He got his first tooth and started to crawl. He has learned to repeat something that you show him and he points and waves. He is standing like a champ and will walk while holding onto your hands. He is still pretty shaky so we think we still have a little while until he walks. He has become a pretty good sleeper and napper. In general, he is just a happy little guy :) We are enjoying every minute with him and cannot wait to see what is next. Here are a few of my favorite pictures from the last few weeks. The video is from lunch yesterday. He gets really excited and loves to yell and work his vocal cords. I had a really hard time not laughing hysterically!

Remembering Pappap

On Saturday, my whole family gathered together to dedicate a bench in honor of my Pappap who passed away in January. The bench is just outside the Westminster College football field where Pappap spent his college years. He was a member of Westminster’s first undefeated football team and was inducted into the Titan Football Hall of Fame. Pappap wasn’t the only James to go to Westminster, he was followed by 6 of his 8 children and 4 of his grandchildren. There was a pig roast and lots of other amazing food. It was a beautiful day for a football game and we all really enjoyed spending the day remembering Pappap.
