11 Months!
Our little man is 11 months old! The last few months have been some of the most fun so far. Jack now has two bottom teeth and one just starting to come though on the top. He started to take some steps about two weeks ago and he is now walking like a little champ. He can go the whole way across the room and into the kitchen without falling down.
A week ago Jack started wearing his cranial remolding orthosis, his helmet. Jack has had a flat spot on the back right side of his head pretty much since he was born. He had been stuck in the birth canal for an extended period of time and came out extremely cone headed. Because of that, his head never really went back to the right shape. Scott and I have tried just about everything to try to encourage his head to go back to the correct shape and the helmet is our last option. We have done a ton of research and are really optimistic that it will help with Jack’s head shape. He will have to wear it for at least 3 months but possibly up to 6. We think that he looks adorable!
Jack, I can’t believe you’re going to be 1 in less than a month! You are getting so big. We’re so glad you live close and we can watch you grow. PS. You do look adorable in your helmet.

He is so so cute. I love his laugh. And his helmet is adorable. And I love that he doesn’t mind it at all.

As far as Ray and I are concerned, all kids should wear helmets for the first 6 months after they start walking anyway so it’s actually perfect! Happy 11 months little buddy! WE LOVE YOU!!! Can’t wait to see you this weekend!
